Job summary

Timberland Partners Inc. is seeking an Assistant Property Manager for Maple Village in Kansas. The role supports the Property Manager in managing a multi-family community of 148 units near I-35, 435, and 635, south of downtown Kansas City.

The position features a Tuesday–Friday 9AM–6PM and Saturday 10AM–4PM schedule, with a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, life insurance, 401K, HSAs, PTO, and more. Experience with YARDI and Fair Housing is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• 1+ years in a sales-oriented role and/or 6+ months of on-site multi-family leasing experience, or a combination of customer service and sales experience.
• Management experience preferred.
• YARDI experience.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations.
• Computer proficiency, including MS Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Accept rental payments and post rent to YARDI.
• Primarily leasing for the property and assisting the leasing office.
• Maintain accurate monthly commission sheets for bonus payments.
• Assume the Property Manager’s duties in the absence of the Property Manager.
• Tour the property and target apartments/model.
• Process applications for approval; inform Property Manager of qualified/unqualified applicants.
• Type up leases and complete all paperwork accurately and timely.
• Ensure apartment is ready for move-in on the move-in date.
• Orient new residents to the community.
• Monitor renewals and follow up on renewal notices.
• Answer questions from residents about the community and rent matters.
• Ensure all work orders are handled satisfactorily.
• Help enforce community policies and rules.
