Job summary

Greystar in Nashville, TN is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet safety and quality standards. You will diagnose defects, complete work orders, and oversee make-ready preparations for new residents.

The role requires at least 2 years of maintenance experience, a high school diploma or GED, and EPA refrigerant certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and/or training.
• 2 years minimum experience in property management maintenance, other building maintenance, or related trade.
• May be required to hold various certifications (e.g. HVAC) and licenses.
• Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently, as a leader, and a collaborative member of a team.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance.
• Makes repairs following policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Prepares vacants for leasing by completing pre-move-out inspections and creating repair punch lists.
• Manages material flow, inventory, and communicates re-ordering needs to maintenance supervisor.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities; assists with cleaning and painting as needed.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible.
• Follows safety policies and attends routine safety trainings.
• Inspects work performed by contractors to ensure quality standards.
• Performs routine property inspections and communicates needs to management.
