Essex Property Trust is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, repair interior and exterior features, and prepare units for new residents. The role includes responding to maintenance requests, on-call duties, and ensuring safety compliance.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years in property management or related experience, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2+ years of property management industry or related experience.
• HVAC and/or CPO license preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and operate golf carts onsite.
• Proficient knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances.
• Repair and maintain interior and exterior features of the property.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents and ensure cleanliness and functionality.
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner and document work orders.
