Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician - Hale Haukani in Honolulu, HI. This full-time role performs mechanical work to ensure buildings, grounds, and amenities meet standards for safety, cleanliness, and functionality.

Responsibilities include completing work orders, making-ready tasks for new move-ins, inventory management, and basic repairs. The position requires a high school diploma, 2+ years in maintenance, and EPA refrigerant certifications; a valid driver's license is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or related experience.
• Minimum 2 years in property management maintenance or related trade.
• May hold HVAC or state/local certifications and licenses.
• Proactive, able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests for service and preventative maintenance.
• Performs make-ready work to prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing and move-ins.
• Maintains inventory and requisitions supplies; coordinates with vendors and contractors as needed.
• Documents work performed and maintains accurate records for service requests.
• Assists in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities including cleaning and painting as needed.
• Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible.
• Follows safety policies, attends trainings, and reports incidents promptly.
• Inspects work by contractors or vendors for quality and compliance.
• Participates in routine property inspections and communicates needs to management.
