Job summary

University Partners is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance, service requests, and unit turns while ensuring clean, safe, and welcoming community spaces with excellent customer service.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and basic construction, plus the ability to work independently or in teams and to provide personal tools. Weekend and after-hours availability is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with related maintenance experience or training.
• Experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, and basic construction.
• Demonstrated customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team and follow instructions.
• Must provide personal tools and be able to lift heavy items.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders and service requests promptly per 24-hour standard.
• Perform general repairs across building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry.
• Inspect and maintain grounds, common areas, and maintenance workspaces.
• Assist with unit turns and vendor coordination.
• Report safety, inventory, and equipment concerns to supervisor.
• Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled inspections.
• Assist with pool maintenance and safety documentation.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance logs.
• Participate in safety meetings and maintain required licenses.
• Provide weekend, overtime, and after-hours on-call coverage as scheduled.
