Job summary

University Partners in Columbia, SC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance, respond to service requests, and keep common spaces clean, safe, and welcoming while delivering excellent resident service.

You will handle repairs across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and other building systems, support unit turns, perform inspections, document work, and participate in safety programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and related maintenance experience or training.
• HVAC certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders and service requests promptly following 24-hour response standard.
• Perform repairs involving electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, carpentry and other building systems.
• Inspect and maintain grounds, common areas, vacant units, models and amenities.
• Assist with unit turns, inspections, repairs, lock changes, vendor coordination, punch work and checklists.
• Identify and report maintenance, safety, inventory and equipment concerns to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Perform preventive maintenance, unit inspections, filter changes and scheduled inspections.
• Assist with pool maintenance and required safety, OSHA, EPA and SDS documentation as directed.
• Maintain tools, equipment, supplies, service records and maintenance logs.
• Participate in safety meetings and maintain licenses and certifications.
