Job summary

University Partners is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance, complete work orders, support unit turns, and help keep spaces clean, safe, and welcoming while delivering excellent customer service.

You will handle electrical, plumbing, HVAC repairs, inspect grounds, assist with pool maintenance, maintain logs, and participate in safety meetings; weekend/on-call shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with related maintenance experience or training.
• Ability to perform electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance repairs, and basic construction.
• Strong customer service, communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Must provide personal tools required for the position.
• Ability to work independently or in a team and handle physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to work weekends, overtime, and after-hours on-call shifts.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders and routine service requests promptly.
• Perform general repairs involving electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, carpentry, and other building systems.
• Inspect and maintain grounds, common areas, and maintenance spaces.
• Assist with unit turns, inspections, and vendor coordination.
• Identify and report maintenance, safety, inventory, and equipment concerns.
• Perform preventive maintenance and required inspections.
• Assist with pool maintenance and safety documentation as directed.
• Maintain tools, equipment, supplies, and logs.
• Participate in safety meetings and maintain licenses and certifications.
• Provide weekend, overtime, and after-hours on-call coverage as scheduled.
• Communicate professionally with residents, guests, vendors, contractors, and team members.
• Follow all company policies and supervisor instructions.
