Job summary

Greystar is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to manage routine and preventative work orders across a multistory property in San Diego. The role includes performing repairs, upkeep of common areas, and compliance with safety standards.

You will respond to resident requests, support make-ready tasks, and assist on-site operations to maintain high quality housing. Requirements include 3–5 years of maintenance experience and EPA certifications.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of maintenance experience required.
• EPA Type I and II or Universal certifications preferred.
• Experience with Yardi, Ops, Happy Co, etc. preferred.
• Housing discount: 20% housing discount available.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance.
• Prepares vacant apartment homes for leasing and new move-ins, including pre-move-out inspections and punch lists.
• Accesses materials and tools from maintenance, tracks inventory, and notifies when re-ordering is needed.
• Completes documentation so service requests are documented and tracked.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities; performs cleaning, painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible.
