Job summary

Evergreen Real Estate Services in Vermilion Gardens, Danville, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Property Manager in maintaining community safety and functionality.

You'll perform general maintenance, assist in repairs, document work orders, coordinate with vendors, and help keep grounds neat while upholding safety standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 years related experience, and relevant trade certificates; valid driver's license preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1–3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Trade school certificates in HVAC, electrical and plumbing.
• Must have valid and appropriate state driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring that all make‑ready repairs and services are completed correctly and on schedule.
• Document resolutions to all work orders.
• Assist in trouble‑shooting maintenance problems and make recommendations for corrective action.
• Assist in collecting bids and procuring outside services and/or vendors for contract or repair work.
• Remain available to perform work orders and routine, preventative, and deferred maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate records regarding preventive maintenance, work orders (received and completed), expenditures, apartment make‑ready status, work‑in‑progress, etc.
