Job summary

Hayes Gibson is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician 2 to repair and maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related systems across properties. The role emphasizes proactive problem solving, attention to detail, and a focus on resident safety and satisfaction.

Typical hours are Monday–Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM with on-call duties for emergencies. Benefits include health, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, PTO based on tenure, and holidays off. Starting pay is $17 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repairs.
• Problem-solving mindset and proactive approach.
• Attention to detail and thorough workmanship.
• Customer service focus with prompt, professional communication.
• Prior maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair & Maintain: Perform routine and preventative maintenance on property buildings and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and more.
• Troubleshoot & Fix: Respond promptly to work orders, diagnose issues, and complete necessary repairs to ensure everything runs smoothly.
• Inspect & Report: Conduct regular inspections of the properties to identify potential problems and address them proactively.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and company standards.
