Job summary

RPM Living is seeking a Maintenance Technician to handle on-site maintenance, custodial duties, and basic groundskeeping for an apartment community. The role includes performing make-readies, minor repairs, equipment operation, pool maintenance, and after-hours response, with safety and regulatory compliance emphasized.

The position requires 1+ year in maintenance, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities for growth within RPM Living.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 1 year of maintenance or related experience.
• General knowledge in skilled trades including construction/installation, repair, drywall, basic carpentry and make-ready.
• Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular custodial duties around the property and maintain common areas.
• Complete grounds work as directed by Maintenance/Community Manager.
• Thoroughly clean breezeways and stairwells, power wash, wipe doors and handrails.
• Assist with basic landscaping: trimming, pruning, watering, irrigation checks.
• Prepare make-ready units and remove trash from vacant apartments.
• Operate equipment such as power washers, blowers, floor scrubbers, carpet cleaners and sweepers.
• Assist in pool maintenance and monitor basic pool care.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and after-hours maintenance requests.
• Complete work orders and update records within 24–48 hours.
