Job summary

Vivmark Residential in San Jose, CA is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This full‑time role requires diagnosing and repairing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and major appliances, completing service requests promptly, and keeping apartment homes rent‑ready.

You will perform preventative maintenance, assist with interior/exterior painting, and follow safety policies to ensure a high‑quality living environment.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of maintenance experience including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance work.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to accommodate an on-call schedule in rotation and communicate effectively with residents.
• Ability to read and understand policies including maintenance policies and SDS safety data.
• Knowledge of PPE usage and basic understanding of emergency systems and paint tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and repairs problems in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, major appliances, carpentry, and other building systems.
• Completes service requests and repairs in a timely manner and to company standards.
• Ensures vacant apartments are rent-ready and performs turnkey work as needed.
• Conducts preventative maintenance and assists in interior/exterior painting.
• Maintains safety culture by following Vivmark policies and reporting unsafe conditions.
