Job summary

Greystar is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to ensure the physical aspects of the property meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You will perform preventive and reactive maintenance, service resident requests, and assist in make-ready tasks for vacant units.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of experience in painting, plumbing, electrical systems, and diagnostics, with proficiency in Yardi and HappyCo preferred.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in painting, plumbing, electrical systems, and troubleshooting/diagnostic repairs.
• Proficiency with property management and maintenance platforms such as Yardi and HappyCo is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, resourceful approach to maintenance issues, and excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance on the property.
• Complete the make-ready process to prepare vacant units for leasing, including inspections and punch lists.
• Manage materials, inventory, and re-ordering with guidance from maintenance supervisor.
• Document and file paperwork for service requests in a timely, accurate manner.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities, including cleaning and painting where needed.
• Support cost-cutting by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible.
• Follow safety policies, attend routine safety meetings, and report incidents promptly.
• Periodically inspect contractors' work to ensure quality and compliance.
