Job summary

The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician II at the Gene Camp location. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance across Metropolitan-owned buildings, residential properties, and recreation facilities to ensure safety, functionality, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience: High school diploma or certificate of high school equivalency and four years of relevant experience.
• OR a high school diploma or certificate of high school equivalency, two years of relevant experience, and the successful completion of a recognized HVAC trade program.
• OR a high school diploma or certificate of high school equivalency, two years of relevant experience, and the successful completion of a recognized electrical trade program.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of repairs across multiple trades including carpentry, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and locksmithing.
• Conduct routine facility and unit inspections to ensure safety standards and codes.
• Respond to on-site emergencies and resolve issues promptly and safely.
• Prepare vacant units for occupancy through interior/exterior work and maintenance.
• Schedule and coordinate repairs directly with tenants and log maintenance activities.
