Job summary

Megan Properties Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine and emergency repairs across residential properties in Texas. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, document work, and coordinate with the Property Manager to maintain safety and property standards.

Qualifications

• General maintenance experience including appliance repair, light carpentry, plumbing/electrical work, and drywall/painting.
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot maintenance issues and repairs.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Fair Housing Laws.
• Physically able to perform maintenance duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Assure all service requests are completed in a timely manner while prioritizing health and safety.
• Diagnose and perform minor and routine maintenance/repair in a timely and professional manner.
• Accurately document work performed on the service request form.
• Identify potential issues and communicate findings with the Property Manager for proactive maintenance.
• Assist in keeping grounds neat and free of litter.
• Flex work schedule to accommodate after hours and weekend emergencies.
• Conduct regular site inspections of interior and exterior; assist in improvement projects.
• Accompany Property Manager during inspections and check HVAC filters and fire safety items.
• Order materials and coordinate with Property Manager within the site budget.
• Maintain shop to inventory standards and assess vacant units for move-in readiness.
• Monitor independent contractors to ensure work is completed as directed.
• Inspect HVAC, windows, roofs, lighting, leaks, breezeways, and other site aspects.
