Job summary

Gorman & Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Milwaukee, WI to support two affordable housing communities: McKinley School Apartments (39-units) and Washington Park Townhomes (40-units). You will handle daily repairs, respond to service needs, and help keep residents’ homes safe and well-maintained.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of property maintenance experience, strong plumbing, electrical, and HVAC knowledge, and a customer-first approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of previous experience in property management maintenance.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and appliance repair.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet insurance requirements.
• HVAC-EPA (Type II), or EPA Universal preferred.
• Affordable housing maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily maintenance and repairs for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances.
• Respond promptly to routine and emergency maintenance requests when assigned.
• Perform daily property walks to keep everything clean, safe and looking sharp.
• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents using make-ready checklists.
• Inspect buildings and grounds to maintain safety, cleanliness, and curb appeal.
• Maintain common areas, exterior spaces, and grounds as well as tackling seasonal prep like fall cleanup.
• Communicate with vendors and contractors.
