Job summary

Gorman & Company, LLC in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician for McKinley School Apartments and Washington Park Townhomes. You will perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repairs, and handle routine and emergency maintenance to keep resident homes well-maintained.

You will conduct daily property walks, prep vacants, inspect buildings, and coordinate with vendors. Requires at least two years of related experience and a valid driver’s license; EPA HVAC preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Affordable housing maintenance experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and appliance repair.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet insurance requirements.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily maintenance and repairs for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances.
• Respond promptly to routine and emergency maintenance requests when assigned.
• Perform daily property walks to keep everything clean, safe and looking sharp.
• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents using make-ready checklists.
• Inspect buildings and grounds to maintain safety, cleanliness, and curb appeal.
• Maintain common areas, exterior spaces, and grounds as well as tackling seasonal prep like fall cleanup.
• Communicate with vendors and contractors.
