Job summary

Avenue5 Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform apartment and property maintenance duties and uphold the highest standards of customer service and curb appeal at one of our properties.

This role supports the maintenance supervisor and property manager, completing repairs across electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds, with an on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in property management or related field.
• General maintenance and carpentry skills.
• Must maintain valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Must complete Avenue5 Fair Housing Training within first 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Address apartment and property maintenance duties as directed by supervisor/manager.
• Perform repairs in electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC and grounds.
• Maintain work order system and ensure resident satisfaction.
• Inspect grounds and common areas for safety, cleanliness and issues.
• Assist with property emergencies and on-call maintenance.
• Communicate maintenance issues promptly to leadership.
• Promote safety and risk management per company rules.
• Interact with residents professionally and maintain curb appeal.
• Foster positive relationships with residents and other properties.
• Maintain professional appearance and comply with uniform policy.
• Adhere to all components of the risk management program.
