Job summary

Peabody Properties seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician to join its team at apartment communities in Salem, MA. The role supports the Service Manager in efficient operation and requires handling routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance tasks across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance repair, locks and keys, carpentry, painting, drywall, janitorial work, grounds, and snow removal.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED and at least 3 years of facilities maintenance

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum 3 years of facilities maintenance experience.
Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal).
Excellent customer service skills required.
On-call coverage for emergencies after hours, weekends and holidays.
Reliable vehicle to perform essential duties.

Responsibilities

Perform routine, preventative and emergency maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance repair, locks & keys, basic carpentry, painting and drywall repair, janitorial, grounds and snow removal, cleaning.
Maintain a high level of cleanliness in buildings' common areas and other assigned areas.
Maintain exterior grounds according to company standards.
