Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring building interiors and exteriors meet company standards. Responsibilities include completing work orders, making-ready tasks for vacant units, maintaining grounds, and documenting work for tracking.

The role requires EPA refrigerant certifications (Type 1/II or Universal), state/local certifications as required, and a valid driver’s license for property operations.

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1 and II or Universal refrigerant recycling certifications
• State and Local certifications as required by jurisdiction
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property where applicable

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance on the property in accordance with safety standards and code requirements.
• Performs make-ready tasks for vacant apartments, including pre-move-out inspection, punch list creation, scheduling vendors, procuring supplies, completing tasks, and inspecting work.
• Manages materials by tracking inventory, returning unused items, and notifying supervision when reordering is needed.
• Documents service requests timely and accurately for tracking and follow-up.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, pressure-washing areas, painting curbs/signage as needed.
• Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.
