Job summary

Greystar Worldwide, LLC is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to oversee and perform technical work ensuring buildings, grounds, and common areas meet Greystar standards. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and support make-ready activities for new move-ins.

The role emphasizes safety, cost-conscious maintenance, and strong resident-facing service. A valid driver's license and ability to work a flexible schedule are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Own hand tools unless prohibited by State law; safe use of hand/power tools and measuring devices.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to define and correct problems.
• Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication; interact with residents and team.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively for support roles and policies.
• Proficiency with internet, word processing, spreadsheets, and basic databases; PM system experience preferred.
• Mathematical skills to manage numbers in administrative and financial documents.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and perform maintenance repairs.
• Oversee and complete the make-ready process for vacant homes and schedule vendors.
• Develop standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, exteriors, interiors, and common areas.
• Periodically inspect work by staff to ensure policy and quality compliance.
• Inspect contractor work to verify materials and services meet specs.
• Maintain inventory and order supplies within budget; coordinate with Community Manager.
• Perform monthly preventative maintenance procedures; assist with budget planning for repairs and capital projects.
• Support cost-cutting by fixing rather than replacing parts and using tools correctly.
