Job summary

TOWN PARC in Tyler, TX is seeking a Property Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance across our residential properties. You will lead a team of technicians, implement schedules, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems, plus proven leadership, communication and organizational skills. This full-time, in-person role offers a competitive salary, a generous benefits package, and on-call rotation

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification preferred.
  • At least 4 years of supervisory property maintenance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • On-call rotation availability.

Responsibilities

Description

Overview: As a Property Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of properties within your assigned portfolio. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strong communication abilities to ensure that properties are maintained to the highest standards and that maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Supervise a team of maintenance technicians and ensure that they perform their duties effectively and efficiently.
  2. Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure that all properties are properly maintained and in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  3. Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify maintenance needs and ensure that issues are addressed in a timely manner.
  4. Coordinate with property managers and tenants to schedule maintenance activities and minimize disruption to residents.
  5. Oversee the procurement of materials, tools, and equipment necessary for maintenance tasks.
  6. Train and mentor maintenance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  7. Monitor budgetary constraints and ensure that maintenance activities are completed within budgetary limits.
  8. Implement safety protocols and ensure that maintenance activities are conducted in a safe manner.
  9. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in property maintenance and incorporate them into the maintenance program.
Qualifications:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in maintenance or property management is preferred.
  2. Proven experience in property maintenance, with at least 4 years of supervisory experience.
  3. Strong technical knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  4. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team and interact with tenants, property managers, and vendors.
  5. Solid organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  6. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
  7. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  8. Willingness to participate in on-call rotation for emergency maintenance issues outside of regular business hours.

Schedule: 8 hour shift & On-call
