Job summary

ML Property Group is seeking a Service Manager to oversee maintenance requests, preventive tasks, and amenity area upkeep at our Charlotte, NC communities. The role partners with the Area Maintenance Manager and requires strong carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC knowledge.

The candidate must have a high school diploma, 5 years of apartment maintenance experience, and a valid driver’s license. HVAC, CPO, and EPA certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college diploma preferred.
• Five years of apartment maintenance experience; minimum of one year in a Service Manager role.

Responsibilities

• Perform and coordinate maintenance tasks across the property, including light fixtures, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Inspect units and common areas for safety and code compliance; address hazards promptly.
• Respond to resident requests with professional, timely communication.
• Maintain logs for maintenance, pool, HVAC, and life/safety inspections.
• Assist Community Manager with scheduling, budgeting, and vendor coordination.
