Job summary

WSH MANAGEMENT INC. Maintenance Technician supports daily operations and upkeep of a 140-unit affordable housing community in Hayward, CA.

This role maintains the property's appearance, safety, and functionality through grounds care, unit turnovers, preventative maintenance, vendor coordination, and handling service requests. Schedule is full-time, 40 hours/week, typically 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with occasional on-call and up to 25% travel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum two years of apartment maintenance or related experience.
• Experience with unit turnovers and property upkeep.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and respond promptly to requests.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect property and equipment daily to determine service needs.
• Respond to service requests on a first-in, first-out basis, schedule and document work.
• Implement and supervise Preventative Maintenance program.
• Update maintenance schedules including HVAC filters and safety checks.
• Prepare monthly safety inspection reports for management.
• Assist with apartment turnovers and obtain bids for outside work.
• Coordinate contracted projects and verify adherence to specs.
• Maintain records of supplies, equipment, and costs.
• Provide on-call emergency support as needed.
• Maintain a tidy maintenance shop and safely use tools.
