Weidner Apartment Homes is seeking a Service Manager in Moreno Valley, CA to lead the maintenance team and collaborate with the Community Director on financial performance and asset value. You will mentor staff, manage repairs, and ensure high-quality service for residents.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, scheduling discipline, and the ability to maintain property systems and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years maintenance experience required.
• Prior management experience desired.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude required.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, swimming pool maintenance, appliances, building systems, irrigation systems, and HVAC systems.
• HVAC, CPO, EPA certification desired.
• Industry designations, CAMT desired.

Responsibilities

• Ensure maintenance and housekeeping associates produce accurate payroll records and manage overtime.
• Communicate performance evaluations of site staff to Area/Regional Directors.
• Interview, recruit, mentor, and develop maintenance and housekeeping staff.
• Prepare and supervise apartments for occupancy including painting, drywall, and repairs.
• Schedule and perform service requests for residents daily and timely.
• Oversee system repairs on electrical, plumbing, boilers, hot water heaters, HVAC systems, appliances, etc.
• Perform carpentry, drywall repairs and interior/exterior painting tasks.
• Clean and supervise pools; monitor chemical balance; maintain logs per city ordinances.
• Conduct pre-move out inspections with Community Director.
• Schedule make-readies and service requests with staff and vendors.
• Maintain daily grounds; manage trash, pet waste, and walkways.
