Job summary

Mission Rock Residential in Upper Marlboro, MD is seeking a Service Manager (Maintenance) to oversee daily maintenance operations and ensure the property meets company standards and laws.

You will lead the maintenance team, schedule work, train staff, manage vendors, perform inspections, and handle after-hours emergencies. Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general repairs is preferred. Hourly compensation ranges and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Comprehension of federal fair housing laws and applicable local housing provisions.
• Ability to comprehend and operate within budgetary guidelines.
• Knowledge of general property repairs including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliances.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, monitor, and perform preventative maintenance at the property.
• Coordinate day-to-day maintenance operations and direct the maintenance team.
• Train and coach maintenance staff; manage performance and scheduling.
• Diagnose problems, perform repairs, and oversee property maintenance areas.
• Inspect property daily and maintain cleanliness in partnership with the team.
• Manage vendor/contractor relationships and quality control.
• Complete unit turns, painting, drywall, and wear-and-tear items.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies on a rotation basis.
