Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold the physical standards of our properties, including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas. You will diagnose and repair deficiencies, complete make-ready tasks for vacant units, manage materials, and document work orders to ensure safety and quality standards are met.

The position requires EPA refrigerant certifications, state/local licenses as applicable, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling (Applicable to Certified Service Technicians)
• State and Local jurisdiction certifications as required
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and performing repairs per policies and codes.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant homes for leasing, including pre-move-out inspection, punch list, scheduling vendors, and inspecting work.
• Follows procedures to obtain materials from the maintenance department, tracks inventory, and notifies for re-ordering needs.
• Completes documentation and paperwork to document and track service requests.
• Supports grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, painting, and maintaining curb and signage.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing parts when possible and using resources efficiently.
