Job summary

Arcan Capital is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead a maintenance team across properties in the southeastern United States. You will oversee repairs, groundskeeping, and preventative maintenance, while ensuring safety and compliance.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, mentoring staff, and delivering high-quality service to residents. Strong technical expertise and customer-focused problem solving are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2–5 years of maintenance experience.
• HVAC, EPA, and/or CPO certifications required.
• Strong leadership and supervision experience.
• Valid driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare market-ready apartments and common areas through preventive maintenance.
• Oversee interior and exterior maintenance incl. HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
• Respond to resident and staff maintenance requests promptly.
• Recruit, train, and supervise maintenance staff with performance coaching.
• Implement preventative maintenance schedules and enforce safety standards.
• Manage vendor relationships for landscaping, painting, and asphalt work.
• Uphold resident privacy and deliver excellent customer service.
• Ensure compliance with housing laws, fair housing regulations, OSHA standards.
