Job summary

Hard Rock International seeks a Property Financial Controller to oversee accounting operations for our Queens-based property. You will manage the close process, intercompany reconciliations, and financial reporting in GAAP.

This onsite role requires 10+ years of experience in gaming or hospitality, with CPA/MBA preferred and strong Excel skills. You will collaborate with the Director of Construction Accounting and other departments to ensure accurate disclosures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting.
• 10+ years of accounting experience.
• CPA and/or MBA preferred, with public accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Gaming, hospitality, or construction experience preferred.
• Infinium and Workday reporting system knowledge preferred.
• Excellent Excel and MS Office skills.

To see our fill list of Team Member Benefits please visit our career site: https://www.gotoworkhappy.com/benefits**Job Description:**Under the supervision of the Director of Construction Accounting, the Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing accounting operations, managing accounting records, ensuring compliance with regulations, publishing financial statements, and analyzing financial data.**Essential duties include, but are not limited to:*** Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.* Technical accounting research and transaction documentation.* Debt and Equity reconciliations.* Month-end close.* Balance sheet reconciliations.* Daily bank reconciliations, and other duties as required.* Monthly maintenance and reconciliation of intercompany accounts.* Coordination, planning, and execution of external audits with independent auditors.* Partner with other departments to obtain necessary information and analysis to support reporting and auditing process.* Preparation of annual financial statements for Queens Future LLC, and other related entities as required, in accordance with GAAP.* Analyze emerging accounting and disclosure standards in GAAP and present impact of such changes to Director of Construction Accounting.* Maintenance of the chart of accounts and the expense dictionary.* Maintain functions and processes in accordance with GAAP and internal control standards.* Analyze, investigate, and report data monthly, quarterly, and annually as required.**Experience:*** Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting.* 10+ years of accounting experience.* Accounting supervisory experience.* CPA and/or MBA preferred, with public accounting experience.* Must possess strong knowledge of general accounting principles.* Gaming, hospitality, or construction experience preferred.* Infinium and Workday reporting system knowledge preferred.* Must have strong skills in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office programs.* Must possess strong mathematical and financial report analysis skills.* Must possess excellent time management skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills and must be detail oriented.* Must possess ability to react quickly and efficiently to high work volume.* Must possess ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and cost analysis.* Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.**Physical Demands:*** Applicant is expected to perform the job functions with reasonable accommodation.**Location:**This is a fully onsite position based in Queens, NY, and reports directly to the Queens office. Candidates must be able to work on-site and are expected to be present at the Queens location on a full-time basis.In accordance with New York pay transparency requirements, the anticipated annual salary range for this position is $137,500 to $200,000. Final compensation will be determined based on a variety of job-related factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, education, certifications, skills, and internal equity considerations, as well as other legitimate business factors consistent with applicable law.
