Job summary

Gateway Search Associates seeks an onsite Financial Controller to lead local accounting operations and drive financial excellence for a hospitality group in Pocono Manor. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Controller will oversee monthly close, internal controls, budgeting, forecasting, and payroll for 1,000+ associates, while mentoring the accounting team.

Strong communication and advanced Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in hospitality and multi-property management.
• Proficiency in Office 365, advanced Excel, hospitality PMS and payroll systems.
• Exceptional communication skills to collaborate across leadership levels.
• Flexibility to work weekends or holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain robust internal controls to safeguard cash flow and assets.
• Partner with departments for budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and cost-control initiatives.

Our client is seeking an onsite Financial Controller to lead our local accounting operations and drive financial excellence in a fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Director ofFinance, this position is responsible for delivering accurate, timely financialreporting while maintaining strong accounting practices, internal controls, andoperational support.

As a key member of theFinance leadership team, the Controller will lead daily accounting operations,oversee payroll for more than 1,000 associates, develop the accounting team,and provide meaningful financial insight to resort leadership.

• Financial Leadership: Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely monthly closing and financial reporting.
• Internal Controls: Maintain, audit, and improve robust internal control structures to safeguard high-volume cash flow and resort assets.
• Operational Oversight: Partner with department heads to manage budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost-control initiatives.
• Mentorship: Supervise and develop the onsite accounting team, fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability.
  

Requirements

Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally withinthe hospitalityindustry and has managed the financials for multiple properties.
• Proficiency in Office 365,advanced Excel,enterprise-level hospitality property management systemsand payroll systems
• Exceptional communication skills to collaborate effectively across leadership levels.
