Property Field Claims Adjuster Sr - Bellingham, Washington and surrounding areas

Remote

While this role does not report to an office location, it is a field role involving travel around the territory to assist clients (Bellingham WA to North Seattle).

We are seeking a Senior Property Claims Representative to join our field claims team. You will provide a consistent, positive, and satisfying claims experience through proper investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and settlement of property claims. You will learn to use innovative technologies, such as drones for property inspections, and virtual claim handling software to guide clients safely through the process.

This position involves full-time field work within the territory, including Bellingham, Seattle, and surrounding areas north of Seattle.

How does a Senior Property Claims Representative make an impact?

• Investigates claims by determining policy coverage, evaluating damages, negotiating, and settling claims.
• Contacts insureds, claimants, and relevant parties to gather information, obtain statements, and explain the claims process.
• Performs physical and virtual inspections of damaged property, evaluates damages, and prepares estimates according to policy and liability.

Qualifications:

Do you have what we're looking for?

• Knowledge of residential and commercial construction techniques.
• Multilingual skills are preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Xactimate, and claims estimating software.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.
• Ability to work overtime or beyond normal hours as needed, including in emergencies.
• Work is conducted in a work-from-home and virtual environment, with a mobile office or company vehicle for travel.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive.
• Physical dexterity to inspect damage in various conditions, including in inclement weather.
• Ability to lift, carry, and climb ladders weighing up to 50 pounds for roof inspections.
• May be called upon for catastrophic duty.
• Maintain appropriate adjuster's licensing as required.
• Typically requires 10 years of relevant experience or a combination of experience, education, and training.
