Job summary

AFICS, Inc. (American Family Insurance Claims Services) seeks a field-based Property Claims professional to handle homeowner claims in the Chicagoland area. The role is 80% in the field with on-site visits and periodic office engagements.

A company fleet vehicle is provided with optional personal use, and relocation support is available for eligible candidates. You will investigate claims, manage first- and third-party losses, and apply casualty coverage knowledge across multiple policies.

Qualifications

• Experience providing customer-driven solutions and service.
• Experience handling 1st and 3rd party multi-line claims.
• Experience with moderately complex claims and casualty coverages.
• Knowledge of all phases of the claim handling process.
• Ability to perform on-site inspections and negotiate settlements.

Responsibilities

• Investigates origin and cause of claims by contacting insureds, claimants and others.
• Handles 1st and 3rd party claims across multiple policy types.
• Conducts on-site inspections, evaluates damages and negotiates with involved parties.
• Communicates claim status and process to all parties.
• Performs other duties or projects as assigned.
