Job Description

Responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for the most complex Homeowner's Claims. Determines coverage, damages, and adjusts and negotiates claims within the limit of authority. Creates comprehensive estimates of damages for complex first-party homeowner claims, leading to proper disposition. Acts as a peer mentor and may assign tasks to junior employees, demonstrating mastery of processes and technical expertise.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized, customer-focused Property Field Adjuster to join our team in the Southern Chicago, IL area. The ideal candidate will have strong conflict management skills and proficiency in Xactimate. Responsibilities include handling moderate residential and some condo claims through on-site inspections and virtual assessments from home. Key Responsibilities

• Exhibit mastery in estimating fundamentals to create damage estimates for complex first-party homeowner losses of all severities.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external customers.
• Interpret regulatory compliance and fair claims practices.
• Negotiate settlements, process payments, and document activities in complex files.
• Apply knowledge of policy types and assist in training leadership.
• Recommend process improvements.

Territory

Hybrid WFH position with a field territory centered in Southern Chicago. The adjuster will also assist with desk claims nationwide as needed.

Education & Experience

• Preferred: 4-year Bachelor's Degree
• Preferred: 3+ years of experience
• Proficiency in Xactimate or similar estimating system
• Proficiency in written communication
• Preferred: Construction experience

Additional Details

This role does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Compensation

Base salary ranges from $76,000 to $90,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Total compensation may include incentives such as bonuses or commissions.
