Job summary

American Avenue in Dayton, OH seeks a Maintenance Manager to lead Property Engineer Captains, oversee a large team, and ensure top-notch maintenance across our homes. The role emphasizes training, efficiency, and proactive leadership in a fast-paced market.

You will work closely with the GM to optimize task assignments, handle emergencies, and participate in hiring. Compensation includes an hourly range with quarterly bonuses and benefits, plus travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 7+ years renovation/maintenance experience, including hands-on work on homes.
• 5+ years of people management with at least 5 direct reports.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and execution focus.
• Hands-on, travel-ready attitude and coaching-first leadership.
• Desire to build tech/tools to improve field operations.

Responsibilities

• Train and coach new hires; approve every new team member.
• Collaborate with GM to assign tasks efficiently each shift.
• Lead urgent responses with Dispatchers to resolve issues quickly.
• Assist in interview process (Home Walk Evaluations).
