Job summary

American Avenue is seeking an experienced Property Engineer Lead to oversee a frontline team of technicians, drive reliability, and ensure premier resident experiences.

As a PE Lead, you will train new hires, maximize day-to-day efficiency with the GM, respond to emergencies with dispatch, and participate in interview processes. This role requires a hands-on leader willing to travel, with 7+ years in renovation/maintenance and 5+ years managing crews.

Qualifications

• 7+ years renovation/maintenance experience.
• 5+ years managing a team of 5+ individuals.
• Willingness to travel frequently.
• Hands-on coaching mindset and communication skills.
• Ability to develop new tools/tech for field improvement.

Responsibilities

• Train and coach new hires, setting standards and quality.
• Maximize efficiency by coordinating with the GM on task assignments.
• Lead high-leverage work and quick emergency response with dispatch.
• Assist in interviewing and selecting candidates for the team.
