Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college.
• Four years of full-time experience investigating and settling liability claims, 18 months in managerial/supervisory capacity.
• Experience in administrative/ managerial/ executive capacity is valued.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Division Chief in managing all functions of the Property Damage Division.
• Supervise the Property Damage Division staff to ensure high professional standards.
• Provide direction and monitoring for efficient resolution of claims.
• Review files for settlement or disallowance with supporting documentation.
• Delegate settlement authority within independent limits.
• Interact with Law Department and other City Agencies on recommendations.
• Prepare employee evaluations and address misconduct issues.
• Design and implement new procedures for division processes.
• Act as the point of contact for Property Damage claims and policies.
• Communicate with officials, agency personnel, attorneys, the public and stakeholders.
• Organize and manage special projects when needed.
