Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree and four years of full‑time experience investigating and settling liability claims.
• 18 months of experience in administrative, managerial, executive, or supervisory capacity required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Division Chief in managing all functions of the Property Damage Division.
• Supervise staff to ensure work meets high professional standards and compliance with procedures.
• Provide direction and monitor productivity for efficient resolution of claims.
• Review files for settlement or disallowance with supporting documentation.
• Delegate settlement authority within staff’s independent scope.
• Coordinate with the Law Department and City Agencies for recommendations.
• Prepare employee performance evaluations and document misconduct or performance issues.
• Recommend and design new procedures to improve division processes.
• Act as the point of contact for Property Damage claims and policies.
