Job summary

East Pennsboro Township is seeking a Code Enforcement Officer to enforce property maintenance ordinances, conduct inspections, and coordinate enforcement actions with the Housing and Community Development director and other departments.

You will investigate complaints, document conditions, issue notices, and communicate with property owners and residents to achieve compliance with township regulations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of property maintenance principles and enforcement procedures.
• Ability to interpret and apply ordinances and regulations.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience documenting conditions and preparing inspection reports.

Responsibilities

• Investigate complaints and potential violations of township ordinances.
• Conduct inspections of properties to identify violations and unsafe conditions.
• Document conditions with inspection reports and photographs.
• Issue notices and enforcement documents per procedures.
