Qualifications

Knowledge of municipal code enforcement, property maintenance, zoning, and related regulations.
Strong communication, organizational, and recordkeeping skills.
Ability to interact professionally with the public.
Ability to conduct field inspections and prepare detailed reports and documentation.
A valid New Jersey driver's license.
Preferred: NJ certifications or experience in code enforcement, construction, zoning, housing, or municipal operations.

Responsibilities

Conduct inspections of properties to ensure compliance with Borough ordinances and state/local codes.
Respond to resident complaints and initiate enforcement actions when needed.
Document violations and maintain accurate records of inspections and citations.
Issue notices and summonses as required and coordinate with authorities.
Collaborate with property owners, contractors, Borough officials, and other agencies to achieve compliance.
