Job summary

Eckerd Connects seeks a Property Clerk for the Denison Job Corps location. The role focuses on accurate property and inventory control, ordering and distributing center equipment and supplies, and maintaining records in compliance with center and DOL regulations.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, up to two years in property/inventory control, and a valid driver’s license where applicable. A pre-employment drug screen and background check are required.

Qualifications

High School graduate or equivalent required.
Two years of experience in property/inventory control preferred.
Valid State driver’s license in the state of employment with acceptable driving record preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensures accuracy of property/inventory control functions.
Orders, receives, and distributes center equipment and supplies.
Posts and maintains shipping, receiving, inventory records and documents per regulations.
Arranges disposition of excess materials per procedures in Property Handbook.
Monitors procurement of supplies, materials and equipment for GSA, self-service store, and other vendors.
Maintains records on the physical location of all center property.

Service Contract Act (SCA) Position

Hourly Rate: $20.00 - $22.00

Duties and Responsibilities

The Property Clerk is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of the property/inventory control functions.
Ensures that center equipment and supplies are ordered, received, and distributed.
The Property Clerk posts and maintains shipping, receiving, inventory records and documents in accordance with center and DOL regulations.
Arranges for disposition of excess materials in accordance with procedures as stated in the Property Handbook.
Monitors the procurement of supplies, materials and equipment for General Services Administration, self-service store, and other vendors.
Monitors maintenance of accurate records on the physical location of all center property.
Attends required staff training sessions.

Qualifications

High School graduate or equivalent required.
Two years of experience in property/inventory control preferred.
Valid State driver’s license in the state of employment with acceptable driving record preferred.
Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.
Sound working knowledge of property/inventory control procedures. Knowledge of Government property management requirements and procedures desired.
