Job summary

Eckerd Connects is seeking an accounting clerk to perform general accounting tasks, process invoices, and assist with payroll. The role involves maintaining financial records, handling vendor data, and supporting monthly reporting in a structured program setting.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and some accounting experience, plus a clean driving record and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen. This is an on-site position within the United States.

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent with courses in general accounting and bookkeeping.
  • Prefer two or more years’ experience.
  • Valid driver’s license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.
  • Must pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general accounting clerical duties and maintain accounting files.
  • Enter data into the computer and proofread financial reports; record, classify, and summarize invoices, work orders, purchase orders, etc.
  • Process vendor invoices by comparing invoice amount with the authorized PO and receiving information; prepare expenditure report; check invoice activity against GL.
  • Assist in assembling and compiling financial data as requested.
  • Maintain center records, ledgers, and journals as necessary to determine center financial status.
  • Coordinate the distribution of student allowances for living expenses and payrolls.
  • Compile and maintain records necessary to prepare payroll register and all other data affecting the payroll.
  • Assist in compiling and preparing monthly financial reports.
  • Cultivate and maintain a climate on center that is free of harassment, intimidation, and disrespect to provide a safe place for staff and students to work and learn.
  • Clearly communicates and consistently models appropriate CSS and employability skills including personal responsibility and computer fluency.

Service Contract Act (SCA) Position

Duties And Responsibilities
