Job summary

Erie Insurance is seeking a Claims Supervisor to lead and develop the Milwaukee-based field property adjusters team. The role focuses on overseeing operations, reviewing claims, and guiding staff to ensure accurate reserves and compliant processes.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree with claims experience and leadership skills. This position may require travel for catastrophe coverage and occasional on-site work in Wisconsin.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six years of claims related experience required.
• Associate degree and four years of claims related experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree and two years of claims related experience required.
• Experience using estimating software preferred.
• Experience in a leadership role preferred.
• Completion of Associate in Claims (AIC) designation preferred.
• Appropriate license(s) as required by applicable state(s), including the ability to secure and maintain dual or multiple licenses as business needs require.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations of designated area of authority and supervise staff.
• Review claims for coverage and reserves and advise on actions.
• Direct claims procedures and handle escalations.
• Coordinate with Claims Manager and outside counsel as needed.
• Support trial prep and attend as necessary.
• Travel occasionally for catastrophe team assignments.
• Maintain knowledge of statutes and adjuster files.
