Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Ability to acquire HAAG Wind & Hail Residential Roofing, IICRC, and Commercial Drone Pilot licenses.
• 3 years of experience in insurance or equivalent in contractor/public work.
• Knowledge of evaluating/negotiating property claims with public, attorneys, and industry pros.
• Familiarity with building repair industry and computer estimating systems.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Commit to ongoing learning in insurance and repair fields.
• Strong listening skills and patience to understand customers.
• Willingness to travel and work after hours/weekends for severe losses.

Responsibilities

• Handles property claims and interacts with customers filing claims.
• Researches and applies knowledge of policies, procedures, laws, statutes, and regulations.
• Completes all aspects from investigation through settlement of property claims.
• Monitors and adjusts reserves appropriately.
• Discusses potential serious losses with Claims management.
• Trains other claims representatives.
