Alder Adjusting is seeking a Field Adjuster to manage, investigate and resolve assigned property claims while delivering fair, timely resolutions to policyholders. The role emphasizes customer service, information gathering from experts, and accurate reporting on policy language and damage estimates.

Candidates should live in the area or be willing to relocate, with 2+ years of field adjusting experience, and must possess an insurance license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with property adjuster experience preferred.
• Experience negotiating settlements and communicating with insureds.
• Knowledge of ISO policies and estimating practices is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Communicate with independent adjusters and other experts to gather information on claims
• Negotiate and explain settlements with the insured and/or their representatives
• Answer incoming telephone calls from agents, public adjusters, insureds, and other vendors
• Review and analyze written information
• Knowledge of multiple policy forms
• Prepare reports based on the policy language
• Prepare detailed estimates of the damage
• Understanding of estimating software
• Plan and accomplish goals with management guidance
• Experience writing Property estimates using Xactimate or related software
• Ability to climb on ladders to inspect roofs
• Ability to carry a 40-pound ladder
• Supports catastrophe operations as needed including extended hours during CATs
