Job summary

Mercury Insurance Company seeks a Property Claims Field Adjuster II in California. After training, you will travel to loss sites to inspect, investigate and settle homeowners claims, using on-site and virtual tools to deliver timely outcomes and exceptional customer service.

You’ll work independently, handle complex claims with supervisor guidance, manage time, coordinate with vendors for accurate estimates, and ensure regulatory compliance and fair settlements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to obtain state-specific property claims licensing as required.
• Must successfully participate and complete formal property claims training program.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve homeowners claims of moderate complexity in a timely and efficient manner.
• Perform field inspections at least 50% of work time (company car provided).
• Handle virtual claims using imagery and video technology to collaborate with vendors and insureds.
• Determine coverage by comparing facts with the policy and extend or deny coverage as appropriate.
• Establish reserves within settlement authority and escalate beyond limit when needed.
