Job summary

Confidential Recruiting Partners is seeking an experienced Claims Manager/Estimator to assess residential and commercial losses and develop accurate repair estimates for restoration projects involving water, fire, wind, hail, and other disasters.

The role requires hands-on Xactimate expertise and strong communication skills, serving as a liaison between homeowners, insurers, TPAs, and internal teams. Onsite role with negotiable relocation and visa sponsorship terms.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed repair estimates using Xactimate and review damage scope.
• Submit and revise estimates throughout the claims process.
• Review and process supplement requests to maintain profitability.
• Conduct onsite property inspections after losses (water, fire, wind, hail).
• Explain estimates and documentation to insurers, TPAs, and owners.
• Ensure compliance with carrier requirements and program guidelines.
• Coordinate project handoffs with operations, PM, and accounting.
• Maintain detailed claim documentation and update systems.
• Participate in on-call emergency rotation and assist with urgent response.

Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Claims Manager/Estimator to assess residential and commercial property losses and develop accurate repair estimates for restoration projects resulting from water, fire, wind, hail, and other disaster-related events.

This role serves as a key liaison between property owners, insurance carriers, third-party administrators (TPAs), and internal project teams. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience using Xactimate, strong customer communication skills, and a solid understanding of restoration estimating and insurance claim processes.

Please Note:

Preference will be given to candidates who reside within a reasonable commuting distance (approximately 30-45 minutes) of the work location.

Responsibilities:

Property Inspections & Estimating

• Prepare detailed repair estimates using Xactimate software.
• Review damage scope and identify required restoration work.
• Submit and revise estimates as needed throughout the claims process.
• Review and process supplement requests to ensure project profitability and scope accuracy.
• Conduct onsite property inspections following water, fire, storm, and other property-loss events.

Insurance & Claims Coordination

• Explain estimates, project scope, and claim-related documentation.
• Assist in resolving estimate discrepancies and claim-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with insurance carrier requirements and program guidelines.
• Communicate directly with insurance adjusters, carriers, TPAs, and property owners.

Project Handoffs & Client Support

• Educate customers on project expectations and obtain required authorizations.
• Coordinate project transitions with operations, project management, and accounting teams.
• Facilitate project kickoff discussions and ensure all required documentation is completed.
• Maintain a high level of customer service for clients navigating stressful property-loss situations.

Documentation & Technology

• Maintain detailed claim documentation and project records.
• Ensure accurate and timely recordkeeping throughout the project lifecycle.
• Update claim information in estimating, carrier, and third-party administrator systems.
• Utilize restoration technology and digital documentation tools, including property imaging and scanning solutions.

Emergency Response Support

• Participate in an on-call emergency rotation schedule as assigned.
• Respond professionally and efficiently to urgent customer needs.
• Assist with emergency service coordination, including board-ups, tarping, mitigation, and other urgent response activities.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

• High school diploma or GED.
• Hands-on experience using Xactimate software.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Experience preparing property repair estimates related to insurance claims.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to work directly with homeowners, insurance professionals, and project teams.
• Comfortable using mobile applications, databases, and digital documentation systems.

Preferred Skills:

• Xactimate Level 1 or Level 2 Certification.
• IICRC certifications or related restoration credentials.
• Familiarity with insurance carrier requirements and TPA programs.
• Experience using Matterport or similar property documentation technology.
• Experience with XactAnalysis or similar claims management platforms.
• Experience within the restoration, insurance claims, or disaster recovery industries.
