Job summary

AAA is seeking a Claims Property Adjuster to support homeowner policy claims with investigative, coverage evaluation, and negotiation responsibilities. The role emphasizes adherence to state and federal laws, customer service best practices, and appropriate use of claims tools.

The candidate will interpret First Notice of Loss, assess damage, and resolve claims within settlement authority while coordinating with internal teams and vendors as needed.

Qualifications

• 4 years prior claims handling experience.
• 3 years property claims handling experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of claims administration best practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct phone investigations to determine coverage and damages. Obtain statements from insureds, vendors, and witnesses.
• Explain policy coverages, benefits, and claims process to insureds and claimants in writing or verbally.
• Evaluate and negotiate settlements within authority for first-party claims across markets.
• Coordinate with internal and external departments as required.
• May attend and participate in legal proceedings.
• Respond quickly to insured needs and problems.
