Job summary

Requirements include a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, and at least one year of claims experience. Xactimate experience is preferred, with strong communication and analytical skills expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience required.
• At least 1 year of insurance claims experience.
• Experience writing estimates with Xactimate and XactContents preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret insurance policies and legal documents.
• Strong communication, reasoning, and judgment in decision making.
• Ability to organize workload and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assemble facts, determine coverage, and evaluate loss amounts.
• Make payments according to coverage and liability determinations.
• Study policies to develop knowledge of company products.
• Learn and follow claim handling procedures.
• Negotiate settlements and service agents and insureds.
• Maintain professional appearance and punctual attendance.
• Maintain license(s) as required and complete CE programs.
• Use computer systems for data entry and reporting.
