Job summary

Concord Group Insurance in Westborough, MA is seeking an entry-level PD Claims Adjuster to investigate, evaluate, and settle insurance claims. You will study policies, comply with procedures, and develop skills in negotiations while servicing agents, insureds, and others.

The role may involve meetings outside the office and requires license maintenance as needed. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in property/casualty claims and at least one year of claims

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or direct equivalent experience with property/casual claims handling.
• A minimum of one year of insurance claims experience is required.
• Ability to write reports and compose correspondence.
• Ability to analyze financial data and geometry concepts, and understand personal and business finance documents.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, and settle entry-level insurance claims.
• Study insurance policies, endorsements, and forms to develop foundational knowledge of Company insurance products.
• Learn and comply with claim handling procedures.
• Develop skills in claim negotiations and settlements.
• Effectively service needs of agents, insureds, and others.
• Meet with people involved with claims, sometimes outside of our office environment.
• Use technology-based information for reference, enter information into computer systems and develop specialized skills, including but not limited to property estimating, auto estimating, and use of computer-based programs as tools.
• Obtain and maintain appropriate adjuster’s license(s) as required.
