You will review details such as property value, location, use, and safety features, and collaborate with field teams to support underwriting decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications and Microsoft Office.
• Detail oriented; strong analytical skills and good communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Underwrite individual property and casualty insurance applications and decide whether to accept, change, or decline a risk.
• Focus on risk factors such as property value, location, use, and safety features.
• Talk with field teams to gather details and explain underwriting decisions.
• Support a Senior Underwriter with account service or account management as needed.
• Review each application with care and use underwriting guidelines to guide decisions.
• Stay close to field partners to obtain facts and assess risk.
